    21st CCLC Summer Freshman Academy 2018 details:

    Dates: June 4 – June 22, 2018

    Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

    Breakfast: 7:45-8:00 am (in cafeteria)

    Class Start Time: 8:00 am

    1st period: 8:00 – 8:55

    2nd period: 9:00 – 9:55

    3rd period: 10:00 – 10:55

    4th period: 11:00 – 11:55

    Class End Time: 11:55 pm

    Lunch: 12:00 – 12:15 pm (in cafeteria)


    • Freshmen Academy is only for THMS students that will be Fall 2018 enrolled
    • Each student will have four classes: one focusing on math skills, one focusing on literacy skills, and two electives.
    • All schedules will be created randomly
    • Parents please drop-off and pick-up your child in the back parking lot off of Euclid and 8th Street. 
    • TUSD Transportation can be provided if you qualify for an in-district bus route.

    Please review with your student the Attendance and Behavior guidelines listed below:

    Attendance: It is critical that your student attends the program everyday to earn 0.50 general elective credit.  Students who are repeatedly absent, tardy, or leave early may be removed from the program and will not earn 0.50 general elective credit.  Please be aware that this is not a “drop in program” so your student’s participation, cooperation, and overall behavior are crucial to everyone’s learning. If problems continue, your student will be removed from the program and will not be able to return. 


    Behavior: Participating in the program is a privilege and students must follow school expectations for behavior. If a student receives one discipline referral during the 21st CCLC Summer program, the student will be placed on a probationary period. If the student receives one more referral or a total of 2 referrals for the summer, then the student may not return to the 21st CCLC Summer Freshman Academy.


    The program is limited to 200 incoming THMS freshmen students. Available student slots will be filled on a first submitted, first placed basis. The registration deadline is Wednesday April 25th, 2018, but will conclude once the 200 student slots are filled.
